Professional Speaker, Breakout Session on Safe Travel

From Policy to Practice: De-escalation That Actually Works

We help your team meet workplace violence prevention requirements without relying on avoidance or guesswork - by giving employees the language and confidence to respond under pressure.

With SB 533, California just exposed a gap the rest of the country still has. This is workplace violence prevention training that goes beyond policy. Because in high-stress moments, employees don't need more rules, they need to know what to say.

Most workplace safety programs focus on compliance. But when tensions rise, policies don't guide behavior-people do.

We help organizations prepare employees for real-world interactions by combining: communication under pressure, de-escalation strategies, and nervous system awareness. So your team can respond confidently, without escalating risk.

With this training, Amanda uses her 25 years of safety training to give your staff actionable realistic strategies for handling escalating and uncomfortable situations.

Workplace Violence & Situational Awareness for Healthcare Teams

Healthcare professionals work in environments where stress, urgency, and hierarchy can make it difficult to speak up - even when something doesn't feel right.

Yet many of the moments that shape patient safety and workplace culture happen long before a formal report is filed. They happen in small interactions between colleagues: when someone notices a concerning situation, steps in to support a teammate, or chooses to address behavior that could compromise trust or safety.

In this interactive breakout session, Amanda draws from her background in high-risk environments, work as a nurse, and decades of experience teaching situational awareness and communication skills to explore how teams can recognize early warning signs and support one another in real time.

Participants will learn how small actions - from asking a simple question to staying present in a difficult moment - can strengthen team trust, protect colleagues, and contribute to safer patient care.
